You can assemble the models yourself or you can have our studio assemble them. When you receive the quote the cost will include assembly unless told otherwise. When the studio assembles your models, you can expect the following.
The bottom line is that we spend a lot of time ensuring your models will not fall apart on the battlefield and ruin all the work we just put into the paintjob. We want you to be able to proudly display your army for years to come.
Here at Stiff Neck Studio we differ from any other miniature painting service because we only offer one standard level of painting and that is our best! The only exceptions to this are characters and centerpiece models. Those receive extra time and details as they well should! We do not list pricing online because it would simply be a lie to you, the shopping customer. Every job is different and that is how we approach all of our quotes. They are individually tailored based on difficulty of models, color schemes, basing etc. etc. Many factors affect pricing. The best thing you can do is build your dream army and send it to us at firstname.lastname@example.org . We will then send you a cost break down based on what you have requested. If it is not in your budget, we can tell you where we can work with you on pricing to meet your needs or possibly refer you to another studio that does lower budget work if necessary. Bottom line is that we want you to be taken care of; if we cannot do it, we will find someone who can. We accept all forms of payment. PayPal and credit cards are subject to finance charges though. Typically, we do not require deposits on commissions. We use your models as the security deposit.
Project completion time can range anywhere from one week to a couple months. This all depends on size and complexity. We do a very good job of managing our commissions and we strive to provide you a very good estimated completion date. When a project is complete, we will take photos and send them to you for your approval. At this point you can request minor alterations or speak to us with any concerns you may have. Once you agree the models are ready to be shipped to you we will request payment in full. If models are not paid for within thirty days of completion without explanation, the models will become the property of Stiff Neck Studio and we will find another buyer for them to offset costs. Any photos taken of your miniatures are intellectual property of Stiff Neck Studio
Shipping is usually free both domestic and foreign. If your army is going to require additional funds to help cover the cost of shipping for some reason we will let you know in the quote. When models are shipped they will be bubble wrapped and packaged extremely well. All packages are sent Priority mail to limit the amount of time they are in the mail system to prevent damage. Stiff Neck Studio is not liable for what happens to the models after you get them. You assume all risk of owning and handling the models. You agree to hold Stiff Neck Studio harmless. By using our service you are agreeing to this. We offer no guarantee, express or implied. Any remedy is at our discretion. Having said that, you can be sure that any problems will be followed up.
